Staff Technical Product Manager

Responsibilities

  • Own, lead, and manage the DevOps roadmap/backlog in accordance with evolving program challenges and requirements
  • Continuously order and prioritize based on the needs and feedbacks
  • Drive breaking down problems, clarify requirements, and estimate time for development tasks
  • Ensure the DevOps team’s transparency and smooth cooperation with stakeholders
  • Demonstrate the ability to make informed technology choices after due diligence and impact assessment
  • Review the solutions for accuracy/consistency and high quality
  • Review, classify, and evaluate all risks, defects which are related to DevOps
  • Follow and represent infrastructure as code” mindset, and provide self-service solution and automation of common infrastructure elements
  • Ensure documentation integrity and quality for the program area
  • Interact with other development teams in a global context (US, France)
  • Provide oversight and mentor team members, explain best practices and technical concepts

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • Strong experience in DevOps activity (5 years of relevant work experience)
  • Experience in maintaining roadmap/backlog, and experience in prioritization challenges
  • Skilled in breaking down problems, analyzing and evaluating impact of changes, defects, and different technology choices
  • Strong experience in CI/CD pipelines, toolsets, and supporting infrastructure
  • Demonstrated experience in scripting languages and configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • Good knowledge of VCS and artifact repositories (Git, GitHub, Nexus and/or similar tools)
  • Experience in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) or virtualization (KVM, ESXi, Hyper-V, etc.)
  • Has software development experience in at least one language from Java/Python/Go, and openness to use others
  • Skilled in writing code/solution that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
  • Cloud experience is a plus (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience in using build tools (Maven, CMAKE) is a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Job Description Summary

The GE Healthcare AV team is looking for a DevOps Technical Product Owner/Tech Lead to be part of our exciting journey in developing, building, maintaining, deploying product platform and tools for market leading medical visualization products. Our goal is to create reliable, self-service systems and solutions for the platform developer teams to make better products and simplify their lives. You will be responsible for bringing the strategy into daily life, defining the priorities, setting up plans for incoming requests and ensuring smooth cooperation. You should challenge and review the design choices and delivered features. You will own the deliverables of the team and work closely with architects, team representatives, and management.
